I apologize for the dealy in updating the site this week. School Board Member Andy Dance will be my in-studio guest to discuss the quarter mil tax increment that the School Board has placed on the ballot for the November 2nd general election.

If you are a freedom-loving capitalist pig opposed to ever-growing government, and you have never read Ayn (rhymes with mine) Rand; here is your chance to make amends. Her clearly-articulated logic is unassailable. Before coming to the US she lived in Soviet Russia under Lenin and Stalin - she knew what tyranny is. Here is one of her essays that deals with caitalism:

Mark Steyn, syndicated columnist, says in this article what many believe - and far too many are afraid to say. To put this into perspective - when you were a kid who were you afraid to piss off : your friends, or the neighborhood bully? Just my take on it.

While most clear-thinking individuals would instinctively understand this, we have 4 Supreme Court justices who apparently do not. It's pretty simple - the Bill of Rights is a collection of rights that are guranteed to US citizens. The 14th Amendment clarifies that these rights apply to all equally, and cannot be taken away without due process of law. How much research really needs to be done to understand that?
According to the syllabus posted on the Supreme Court's website, Chicago passed the law ostensibly to protect residents "from the loss of property and injury or death from firearms." Here's the real kicker: The hand gun death rate in Chicago has gone up since the law was passed. The same thing happened in DC when that city banned hand gun ownership. When you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and keep expecting a different result - isn't that the definition of insanity?
School Board member Trevor Tucker joined me in studio to discuss plans to deal with the requirements of the Class Size Amendement. While the numb skulls who voted for this had the best of intentions - they never spent a second thinking of the cost of implementing it. They're probably the same folks who bitcth the loudest when their taxes go up.
We'll also discuss the Big News of the Week with Brian McMillan of the Observer. Supervisor of Elections Kim Weeks continues to defy logic....Tune in at 9:00.
